You will be learning conversation fluency, confidence building, critical thinking, American accent, grammar, public speaking, while developing your entrepreneurial skills, including product/service development, employee development, sales and marketing, customer service, logistics, operations, and the various legal documents.  In this course, you will receive a business development package that will allow you to practice what you learn and start earning money almost immediately.

American English Course: AAPD - American Accent for Personal and Professional Development

The focus on this course is Neutralized American Accent, the accent used by the broadcast news reporting media in the United States.  It is called "Neutralized" because as the word suggests, it is a neutral accent that can be understood by all Americans and the rest of the world.  It is not regional (Southern, Brooklyn, Boston) or "twangy".

There are three elements to the Neutralized American Accent: Pronunciation, Liaison, and Intonation.  The students will learn phonetics, blending, and "speech music" to start changing the way they speak and produce sounds.  When these three elements are combined, participants will definitely begin speaking with an American Accent.

This module is especially for those individuals who are preparing for interviews, promotions, career advancement, or looking simply to improve their communication skills.  We have also worked with various call centers who want to improve their employees accents.

American English Course: CWIG - Critical Writing and Intensive Grammar

This intensive grammar and writing course provides English grammar and syntax training for basic, intermediate, and advanced level students.  At The American Institute, we found that the best method to teach grammar and syntax is to develop writing as a communicative skill.

Apart from being necessary for personal and professional development, writing acts as a foundation for improving other communicative skills.  Conversation fluency and organization are two such skills.  Using correct grammar in speech and writing will tremendously improve the participants’ confidence, conversation, and critical thinking skills.  The course is designed to produce written and oral communications that are clear, organized, and insightful.
