American English Course: CWIG - Critical Writing and Intensive Grammar

This intensive grammar and writing course provides English grammar and syntax training for basic, intermediate, and advanced level students.  At The American Institute, we found that the best method to teach grammar and syntax is to develop writing as a communicative skill.

Apart from being necessary for personal and professional development, writing acts as a foundation for improving other communicative skills.  Conversation fluency and organization are two such skills.  Using correct grammar in speech and writing will tremendously improve the participants’ confidence, conversation, and critical thinking skills.  The course is designed to produce written and oral communications that are clear, organized, and insightful.

TOPICS: Parts of Speech, Phrases, Clauses, Verbs, Verb Tenses, Types of Sentences, Sentence Variety, Coordination and Subordination, Reference of Pronouns, Subject-Verb Agreement, Parallel Structure, Misplaced and Dangling Modifiers, Punctuation, Capitalization, Spelling, Prepositions, Nouns, Pronouns, Articles, Voice, Conjunctions, Business Documents, Persuasive Essays, Informative Essays, Descriptive Essays, and MORE!!!
